Privacy policy

Magmell is seeking to maintain privacy procedures that comply with the Australian Governments privacy laws that came into effect in March 2014 as a result of the Privacy Amendment (Enhancing Privacy Protection) Act 2012.

Personal Information

Magmell may hold the following personal information about consultants and customers: contact information, service lines, professional history and curricula vitae. Magmell also holds confidential information for consultants and clients.
The following information is considered confidential: contact details, company ledgers and other financial information about the company, credit references (where occasionally sought), financial transactions, bank account details, contracts and payment histories.
This personal and confidential information is held only within our systems and servers. It is not made available to any organisation or related entities either in Australia or overseas for any purpose, other than:
a) a financial dispute or late payment referral to a debt collection agency, in which case only the specific records will be used only for the direct and specific purposes of the dispute and kept otherwise confidential; or
b) unless required by law to provide that information to an Australian law enforcement body, in which the company or Icon will be informed to the extent legally allowed.
Magmell will not seek personal information from other agencies for any purpose other than credit reference checking. We do not provide repayment history to credit referencing agencies.
Magmell does use contact or personal information to promote new services, to promote new opportunities, announcements, surveys and other information that relates to being contracted to Magmell or a customer of Magmell from time to time.
Magmell maintains information in an electronic format and it is hosted on remote backup servers. All information is stored with reputable organisations on secure premises with data access controls to protect it from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. Magmell will take all reasonable steps to destroy or to de-identify personal information that is no longer required.
Members can opt out from emails from Magmell at any time, however it may take up to several weeks to effectively cease.


Magmell website may use ‘cookies’ from time to time. You can configure your web browser software to reject cookies however some parts of our website may not have full functionality in that case. When we send you emails or other electronic messages, we may record where you open the message and click on particular links.
Magmell does not utilise third party services that may use cookies and other technologies in connection with online services.

Accessing your personal information

Any consultant or customer can request to see their personal information in order to correct and review it. If you have a question, concern or complaint regarding the way in which we handle your personal information, please contact Magmell. Where you have any concerns that we have interfered with your privacy, we will respond to let you know who will be handling your matter and when you can expect further communication.


From time to time it may be necessary for us to review this policy. We reserve the right to amend this policy at any time and to notify you of any amendments by posting an updated version on our website.
